1. Understanding a Floorco Engineered Wood Flooring Warranty:

Flooring warranty, not all floors are created equal. There are from 1 year to 30 years, please make sure it is residential or commercial.

1.1 Engineered wood flooring structural warranties :

This is a common type of warranty for engineered wood flooring, that is a guaranty for flooring grade, milling, moisture content within factory standards. These warranties have detailed instructions when it comes to preparation, tools, and installation of your floors. Failure to follow all of the instructions could void the warranty.

1.2 For Commercial:

1.2.1 (3) years manufacturer structural warranty: brands within WOL Flooring, GL Flooring, Atwood floors, Antico flooring.

1.2.1 (5) years manufacturer structural warranty: a brand with barlinek.

1.3 For Residential:

1.3.1 (20) years manufacturer structural warranty: Brand with WOL FLOORING collections.

1.3.2 (25)years manufacturer structural warranty:, brands within GL Flooring, Atwood floors, Antico, and barlinek tastes of life collection and pure Classico series.

1.3.3 (30) years manufacturer warranty: a brand within Barlinek senses.

1.4 Finish Warranties :

This is for pre-finished wood flooring, this warranty specifies the flooring finish will not wear off under standard use. flooring Finish warranties do not cover any people-made issues, like scratches or dents from heels, furniture, or pets.

1.4.1For commercial:

(1)years finish warranty: accepted for commercial, brands within Atwood floors, Floorco flooring collections, Barlinek flooring, Antico.

1.4.2 For residential:

(3)years finish warranty: accepted for Residential, brands within Atwood floors, Floorco flooring collections, Barlinek flooring, Antico.

1.5 These warranties, which begin from the date of purchase, apply to products used in dry residential applications.

1.6 This limited warranty is valid only in NEW ZEALAND The warranty is not transferable. It extends only to the original retail consumer.

2. What the FLOORCO ENGINEERED WOOD Flooring Limited Warranty covers:

2.1 Structural Integrity Warranty –FLOORCO warrant these engineered hardwood products in their original manufactured conditions to be free from defect in material and workmanship including assembly dimension and grading.

2.2 Note: Hardwood flooring is a natural product that will continue to expand and contract during seasonal and temperature changes. Products may experience a separation between boards when properly acclimated and installed. If separations do occur, they are not covered by this warranty.

3. What you should do if any of the above listed problems occur and you need warranty service:

3.1 You (the original retail customer) should notify the authorized Hardwood Flooring dealer from which the original purchase was made of any defect no later than 30 days after discovering the defect but within the time period of the applicable limited warranty.

3.2 You (the original retail customer) must present to that authorized Hardwood Flooring dealer the following items for a warranty claim to be considered:

3.2.1 A valid proof of purchase in the form of a sales receipt or other documents which establish proof of purchase

3.2.2 A valid proof of purchase in the form of a sales receipt or other documents which establish proof of purchase description of the problem and/or a photograph/sample that clearly shows the warranty problem.

4. What FLOORCO will do should you need warranty service:

4.1.If in the unlikely event that any portion of your product should fail with respect to the provisions of these warranties, FLOORCO will repair, refinish, or replace such portion, at no cost to you using either the same product or suitable alternative should the original product no longer be stocked by us.

4.2 In the unlikely event, FLOORCO is unable to correct any portion of a defective product after a reasonable number of attempts, FLOORCO will refund the purchase price for the portion of the product that is defective pursuant to the terms of the delivery and returns policy.

4.3The warranty does not cover any extra costs stemming from a defective product, such as the removal of furniture, fixtures, electrical items, or labor costs.

5. Each FLOORCO  Hardwood Flooring Limited Warranty is subject to the following conditions:

5.1 This limited warranty is valid only in NEW ZEALAND The warranty is not transferable. It extends only to the original retail consumer. This limited warranty applies only where the affected area of the FLOORCO Flooring is visible and covers an area greater than 10% of the room. The flooring must be installed in accordance with FLOORCO flooring recommended installation instructions using FLOORCO Installation materials.

5.2 Natural wood characteristics such as mineral streaks, small knots, grain variations, etc. are normal characteristics and are not considered as defects. No two pieces of wood are the same and color or other variations will occur. We do not guarantee against natural variations or the normal difference between color samples or photographs and coolers of installed floors. • Indentation, scratches or damage caused by negligence, water moisture, insects, animals, and high-heeled or spiked shoes, or failure to use pads under rolling chairs or other furniture and is not covered by warranty.

5.3 Any product deformity that is not measurable or that is visible only at a certain angle is not considered a defect. Defects are evaluated by their visibility from a reasonable vertical distance (standing height) from the floor.

5.4 Failure to follow manufacturers’ written installation instructions including protecting the floor from subfloor moisture.

5.5 Excessive or inadequate humidity in the area of use. Relative humidity in the area of use must be within a normal range of 40%-55%.

5.6 Improper or insufficient protection, care, and maintenance.

5.7 Accidents abuse or misuse. Warranty will be made void if man-made or natural disasters including leaking or broken plumbing, fire, flood, earthquake, or standing water occurs during or after installation.

5.8 Improper alteration of original manufactured product. Alterations or repairs to the manufacturer’s original product will avoid any and all warranties

5.9 Changes in color due to full or partial exposure to sunlight and weather.

5.10 Failure due to structural changes in the sub-floor, settling of the building or uneven sub-floor that has not been adequately leveled.

5.11 This warranty does not cover the removal or replacement of cabinets, appliances, furniture or other fixtures. • Gloss reduction is not considered wear.

5.12 Faces checking, cracking, are not covered by this warranty.

5,13 Natural Expansion – Natural hardwood planks will contract and expand with temperature changes and humidity. Separation and spacing may occur between planks and will not be considered damaged. Flooring that is damaged due to excess humidity or temperature change will not warrant a claim.

5.14 Moisture Related Damage Changes due to water damage are not covered.

Beware when reading this warranty, as it may imply more coverage than it acts.

5.18.1 Any people-made issues not covered by warranty.

6. Please note

6.1 It’s important to keep documentation from your installation to help support your case if you file a damage claim. If you used a professional contractor, be sure to save your contract, receipts and a list of all materials used. Photographs before, during and after construction can also help support a claim.

6.2 Once the flooring is installed, it is deemed acceptable. If you have issues with more than 5% of the planks, do not install the flooring and contact your distributor. This is where photos will be important.

6.3 If you have issues with your flooring after installation, a manufacturer may ask for items related to installation, such as subfloor moisture ratings.

6.4 FLOORCO not grant to any person or entity the authority to create for it any obligation or liability in connection with FLOORCO Flooring.

6.5 FLOORCO FLOORING shall not be liable to the consumer or any other person for any incidental, special or consequential damages, arising out of breach of this limited warranty or any implied limited warranty (excluding merchantability). Some states or provinces do not allow the excluding of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to the purchaser. This warranty gives the customer specific legal rights, such rights may vary from state to state.
