3.1.2 Apply flooring adhesive using a trowel.

3.2 Lay the First Plank

3.2.1 Place the first plank so that it aligns with the chalk lines.

3.2.2 Press it down firmly into the adhesive.

3.3 Continue the Pattern

3.3.1 Continue laying planks in the herringbone pattern, following the chalk lines.

3.3.2 Use spacers to maintain consistent gaps between planks.

3.4 Secure Planks (if using nails)

3.4.1 If nailing, use a nail gun to secure the planks to the subfloor.

3.5 Cut Edge Planks

3.5.1 Measure and cut planks to fit the edges of the room.

4. Finishing

4.1 Remove Spacers

4.1.1 After the adhesive has set remove the spacers.

4.2 Install Trim

4.2.1 Install baseboards or trim to cover the expansion gaps.

4.3 Clean and Seal

4.3.1 Clean any adhesive residue and apply a sealant if required by the manufacturer.
