Subfloor Preparation: Ensure the subfloor is flat before installation, as SPC flooring requires a high degree of flatness for optimal performance. This refers to the flatness of the surface rather than overall levelness. Uneven subfloors can cause stability issues over time.
Seasonal Expansion & Contraction: SPC flooring may expand and contract due to temperature fluctuations. The planks can expand during warmer months and contract in colder temperatures. It’s essential to leave space for expansion by using trims, especially in regions where seasonal temperature variations are significant.
